Terms of Service
Last updated: July 25, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CreateTextures ("we", "us") covering your use of createtextures.com and the CreateTextures Android app, which displays the same website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. A paid plan may only be purchased by someone able to enter a contract.
2. What the Service is
CreateTextures is a browser-based Minecraft texture pack and sound editor. The editor itself is free to use, with no account required. Work you create is autosaved to your own device unless you choose to save it to the cloud, publish it, or invite someone to collaborate.
CreateTextures is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Studios. You are responsible for using anything you make here in line with Mojang's own terms and end user licence agreement.
3. Your account
You can browse and create without an account. Some features — cloud packs, collaboration, friends, and paid plans — require one. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Use a unique password, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
You may link a Minecraft or third-party identity to your account. Linking does not give us control of that account, and we verify it only to display your identity to other users.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you make. We do not claim ownership of your textures, sounds, or packs.
To run the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, and display your content strictly for the purpose of operating and providing the Service — for example hosting your cloud packs, showing them to collaborators you invite, and displaying content you choose to publish in public areas such as Recent Packs or the leaderboard. This licence ends when you delete the content, other than for backups already made and copies other users have downloaded.
You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload. Do not upload textures, sounds, or artwork owned by someone else without permission, including assets extracted from paid or third-party packs.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that targets or endangers a minor
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights
- attempt to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts and content
- use the Service to distribute malware, or to disguise harmful files as texture packs
- resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Service itself
- abuse other users in collaboration sessions, chat, comments, or invites
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
6. Plans, billing and payment
The editor is free. Paid plans raise how many packs you can keep saved in the cloud, and add a badge next to your name. Current plans are Free (3 cloud packs), Coal ($1.99/month, 8), Iron ($4.99/month, 15) and Diamond ($8.99/month, 20), in US dollars. Packs kept on your own device are never limited or counted. Live plan details are always on the Plans page, which prevails over this summary if they differ.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing enquiries, taxes, and invoicing, and their buyer terms apply to the purchase itself. We never see or store your full card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month at the then-current price until you cancel. Taxes such as VAT are calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location and may be added at checkout. If we change a plan's price, we will give you notice before it applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
We also offer an optional one-off Support payment. It is a voluntary contribution — it deliberately grants no plan, no extra packs, and no other benefit.
7. Cancelling and downgrading
You can cancel any time from Manage on the Plans page, which opens Paddle's billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep your plan for the rest of the period you have already paid for, and no further charges are taken.
If you end up over your pack limit after cancelling or downgrading, your existing packs stay safe and readable — nothing is deleted. You simply cannot create new cloud packs until you are back under the cap.
8. Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service running, but it is provided on an "as available" basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend the Service for maintenance. If we discontinue a paid plan entirely, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of any period you have paid for.
Because your in-progress work is autosaved to your own device, clearing your browser data can remove it. Keep your own copies of anything you care about — export early and often.
10. Our intellectual property
The CreateTextures name, site design, code, and original artwork are ours or our licensors'. These Terms do not give you any right to use our branding, other than to link to us. Minecraft assets shown in the editor remain the property of Mojang Studios and are used to let you edit your own packs.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content stored will never be lost.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost packs. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms. If we terminate your account without cause while you are on a paid plan, we will refund the unused portion of that period.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Egypt have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
15. Contact us
The fastest way to reach us is our Discord community. You can also email the developer contact address listed on our Google Play store page. For billing and payment enquiries you can contact Paddle directly at paddle.net.
16. Changes to these terms
If we change these Terms we will update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date above. Meaningful changes will be highlighted on the site. Continued use of CreateTextures after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
